[About the Role] Indotronix is seeking an experienced Structures & Payload Design Engineer Level 4 for an onsite, 6-month contract in North Charleston, SC. Join a dynamic aerospace environment, providing engineering leadership and support in aircraft interiors and cargo systems. This role is ideal for seasoned professionals ready to collaborate with cross-functional teams, interact directly with suppliers and airlines, and play a critical part in ensuring regulatory compliance and product excellence.

[Responsibilities]

  • Provide project leadership and advanced engineering support within a production system
  • Engage directly with aerospace suppliers and airline customers to ensure requirements are met
  • Validate and demonstrate compliance with FAA/EASA regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies on certification and integration activities
  • Support Design for Manufacturing (DFM) initiatives and recommend process improvements
  • Design, integrate, and certify aircraft cargo compartment and handling systems
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams as needed
  • Deliver presentations and technical information to diverse stakeholders

[Required Skills and Experience]

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (ABET Accredited; Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Material Sciences)
  • Minimum 9 years of relevant engineering experience in design, integration, or certification (advanced degrees considered)
  • Proficiency in CATIA, PDM, Enovia, 3D CAD tools, and CSDT
  • Strong background in aerospace structures and interiors

[Preferred Skills]

  • In-depth knowledge of FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA regulations
  • Experience with aerospace materials, design criteria, and release processes
  • Proven track record of leading proposals, project schedules, and risk management
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and technical communication skills
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
