Business Systems Analyst – Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid: 4 days onsite/week) Job Type: Contract to Hire

About the Role

Join a dynamic team as a Lead Business Systems Analyst supporting our Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) initiatives. You will play a critical role in enabling our business to harness data as a strategic asset. Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements, drive feature development, and manage the product backlog in a hybrid work environment designed for growth and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary liaison and subject matter expert for stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams.

• Operate within an Agile framework to develop features and detailed user stories.

• Gather, document, and facilitate technical requirements, including source-to-target data mappings.

• Collaborate with product owners and business experts to refine epics and translate them into actionable features and user stories.

• Lead backlog refinement sessions, detailing user stories, acceptance criteria, and story points.

• Identify, quantify, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.

• Partner with Application Business Systems Analysts to escalate and resolve project impediments.

• Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree.

• At least 7 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst within a Data Warehouse environment.

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on SQL experience for creating ad-hoc queries and data analysis.

• Proficiency in EDW technologies, especially Snowflake.

• Familiarity with ETL tools, Azure DevOps, and data mapping.

• Preferred Skills

• 5+ years in financial services or banking industry.

• Expertise with Snowflake, AWS S3, and data modeling (Erwin or similar).

• Strong background in enterprise data warehousing best practices and standards.

• Experience in leading other Business Systems Analysts on project teams.

• Outstanding organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
