As an Assistant Manager in GDS Data Risk Management at EY, you will play a critical role in executing and coordinating Data Risk activities. Your responsibilities will include: - Supporting the implementation of Global initiatives and aligned data and security programmes at GDS - Coordinating with stakeholders across Risk Management, GCO, Information Security, Technology, and Service Lines to support mitigation of Data Risk Management issues, AI/GenAI data risks, and data risks related to technology and information security - Assisting in identifying and documenting data risks at local and regional levels - Supporting the operationalisation of data risk controls and assisting teams with the adoption of Global tools, templates, and processes - Providing support for technology and information security initiatives aimed at strengthening data protection controls - Supporting activities related to prevention, detection, and response for data incidents including Insider Threat events - Managing the intake and coordination of exception requests, including initial information gathering, risk assessment support, stakeholder coordination, documentation, and tracking - Providing advisory support on data retention and lifecycle requirements, helping teams interpret policies related to storage, archival, and disposal - Supporting the design and delivery of data risk and data protection awareness initiatives - Maintaining effective working relationships with Risk Management, Information Security, Technology teams, Data Protection and Privacy stakeholders To qualify for this role, you must have: - A Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Commerce, Business Administration, Law, Risk Management, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications or certifications in Risk, Data Protection, Cyber Security, Privacy, or Technology Governance are an advantage - 5-8 years of relevant experience in data risk management, information security, technology risk, data governance, or a related risk/control function within a large or complex organization - Hands-on experience supporting enterprise or global risk programs including risk identification, control implementation, incident or exception management, and governance reporting - Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and understanding of compliance needs Additionally, the ideal candidate would possess: - An eye for efficiency and process improvements - Planning skills and ability to prioritize workload - Attention to detail and sense of ownership - Ability to stretch in busy periods for high quality and on-time delivery At EY Global Delivery Services (GDS), you'll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and truly global delivery network, collaborating with EY teams on exciting projects and working with well-known brands from across the globe.
