Location Chennai (Puduvoyal) Position Engineer – Metallurgical & Lab Qualification Diploma in Metallurgy OR B.Sc. in Chemistry Experience 3–4 Years Experience in Metallurgy Laboratory Exposure to Steel Making, Forging & Heat Treatment processes preferred. Prepare and analyze metallurgical samples as per industry standards. Conduct chemical, mechanical, metallography, and NDT testing. Maintain accurate laboratory reports, records, and documentation. Ensure compliance with NABL and Quality Management Systems. Train and guide laboratory technicians on testing procedures. Conduct metallurgical failure analysis and provide corrective recommendations. Support production teams with metallurgical expertise. Participate in internal and external technical audits. Perform supplier audits for Steel Mills, Forging Plants, and Heat Treatment vendors. Review technical feasibility and RFQ documentation. Drive continuous improvement in laboratory processes and quality systems. Preferred Profile Experience in Metallurgical Laboratory operations. Knowledge of Steel Making, Forging, and Heat Treatment processes. Hands-on experience in metallography and laboratory testing. Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
