Senior Test Engineer - Automation and Manual Testing

As a Senior Test Engineer at NEC Corporation of India Ltd., you will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test scripts for web applications and APIs to ensure the highest quality of software products. Your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Test Automation Development: - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver for web application testing. - Develop and execute automated test scripts for RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar. - Create and manage automated test frameworks and tools to support continuous testing. - Test Planning and Execution: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand testing requirements and develop comprehensive test plans. - Execute automated/manual test cases, analyze results, and ensure software quality. - Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues. - Quality Assurance: - Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing to validate new features and bug fixes. - Ensure all software releases meet the highest quality standards through thorough testing. Your qualifications should include: - Technical Skills: - Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver for web application test automation. - Strong knowledge of API testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI). - Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD). - Experience: - 3+ years of experience in test automation, specifically using Selenium and Python. - Experience with various types of testing (e.g., functional, regression, performance). - Soft Skills: - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment. The base location for this role is Noida, with flexibility for travel.
