Test Engineer - Power BI and GIS Applications

Reporting Relationship: Test Manager Location: Noida Exp Range 3 to 5 Years Role Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer with experience in testing Power BI dashboards and GIS-based web applications. The ideal candidate should have expertise in validating business intelligence reports, geospatial data visualization, data accuracy, and end-to-end application functionality. The role involves functional, data, UI, and performance testing of analytics dashboards. Key Responsibilities: Test Power BI dashboards for functionality, data accuracy, filters, drill-downs, bookmarks, and report interactions. Validate KPIs, charts, tables, slicers, and calculated measures. Perform SQL-based backend data validation against Power BI reports. Test GIS/map-based applications including: Map rendering Layers Markers Geospatial boundaries Coordinate accuracy Spatial filtering Heat maps Validate integration between GIS data sources and Power BI dashboards. Perform API testing using tools such as Postman. Execute regression, functional, integration, smoke, and UAT testing. Identify, document, and track defects using Jira. Create test scenarios, test cases, and test execution reports. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and data engineers to resolve issues. Validate data refresh schedules and ETL processes. Preferred Skills Knowledge of ArcGIS or QGIS. Experience with spatial databases such as PostGIS. Understanding of ETL pipelines. Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or Playwright. Experience 35 years in QA Testing. Minimum 2 years of Power BI dashboard testing. Minimum 1 year of GIS application testing. Experience in data warehouse or BI projects is preferred. Prerequisites: Qualification - BE/B Tech Ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3+ years of experience as a test engineer. Base Location: Noida, but flexible to travel.
