Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD tools - Prepare detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications as per project and manufacturing requirements - Conduct design calculations, tolerance analysis, and engineering assessments to validate design integrity - Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, procurement, and project teams to ensure designs are production-ready and cost-effective - Build and test prototypes and iterate on designs based on test results and performance evaluations - Review and validate vendor drawings, component specifications, and supplier technical submittals - Ensure all designs comply with applicable industry standards, safety norms, and regulatory requirements - Participate in design review meetings, FMEA sessions, and cross-functional technical discussions - Identify opportunities for design optimization, weight reduction, and cost savings - Prepare and maintain complete engineering documentation including design reports and change records - Mentor junior engineers and draftsmen within the mechanical design team as needed
