Product Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities: - Lead and contribute to end-to-end product design activities from concept ideation through to production release - Develop 3D models, detailed engineering drawings, and product specifications using CAD tools - Conduct design feasibility studies, DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) reviews to ensure production readiness - Build, test, and iterate on physical prototypes to validate design concepts and performance requirements - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, procurement, marketing, and supply chain to align design with business needs - Perform engineering calculations, tolerance stack-up analysis, and material selection assessments - Review and validate tooling designs, vendor drawings, and component samples during the NPD process - Participate in design review meetings, FMEA sessions, and stage gate evaluations - Ensure all product designs comply with applicable regulatory, safety, and quality standards - Maintain complete and accurate product documentation including design history, ECNs, and BOM updates - Mentor junior designers and coordinate with industrial design teams where applicable
