About the role
Extensive experience with BIG-IP LTM, GTM, APM & ASM in a large, shared environment
Deploy, operate, and maintain highly available networks using Local Traffic Manager (LTM) and Global Traffic Manager (GTM) technologies.
Hands on technical experience with and very knowledgeable on LAN/WAN operations, protocols, and concepts (TCP/IP, UDP, SSL, Encryption, DNS, SNMP, HTTP etc), UNIX or Linux operating systems, networking hardware and virtual environments
Support Secure Socket Layer / Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS) offloading and brokering PKI authentication provided by the F5 Load Balancer
Experience in custom SSL, ciphers and LTM traffic performance optimization
Perform software upgrades, routine backups, LTM/GTM performance monitoring of F5 Load Balancer infrastructure.
Perform daily operational tasks in operating and maintaining the enterprise F5 load balancers in on-premises/cloud environments.
Proficiency in writing basic iRules and troubleshooting.
Perform security hardening of F5 devices, good knowledge on vulnerability remediation.
Experience in Authentication mechanisms and strategies with APM
Knowledge of TCPdump and packet capture and analysis
Deep understanding of networking, firewalls and system administration and the ability to troubleshoot problems.
Develop or contribute to technical documentation including low level design documentation, standard operating procedures, deployment/build plans.
Communicate Load Balancer architecture designs/flows clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical decision makers.
