This role is office-based, fostering strong team collaboration. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and implementation of highly scalable and resilient backend systems. Architect and develop microservices using modern technologies and patterns. Mentor and guide a team of backend engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and performance benchmarks. Oversee the development of APIs, ensuring they are secure, efficient, and well-documented. Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery. Identify and address performance bottlenecks and scalability issues. Contribute to the strategic technical direction and roadmap for backend infrastructure. Conduct code reviews and provide technical leadership. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 7+ years of progressive experience in backend development, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role. Proven experience in designing and implementing microservices architectures. Expertise in one or more backend programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, Node.js). In-depth knowledge of database technologies, including SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., Cassandra, Redis). Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience with message queuing systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ). Solid grasp of distributed systems principles and concurrent programming. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices.
