Senior Mobile Application Developer (iOS & Android)

About the Role WhatJobs Direct is seeking a talented Senior Mobile Application Developer with expertise in both iOS and Android development to join our dynamic team in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, user-friendly mobile applications for our growing user base. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of shipping successful mobile apps, a strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles, and proficiency in modern mobile development frameworks. This role requires on-site presence in our Thiruvananthapuram office to ensure seamless collaboration with our product, design, and backend teams. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and test native iOS and Android applications. Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into intuitive and engaging user interfaces. Integrate mobile applications with backend services and APIs. Optimize application performance for speed and scalability. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices. Implement automated testing suites to ensure application stability and reliability. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve mobile application issues. Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile development trends, technologies, and platform updates. Mentor junior mobile developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of professional experience in mobile application development. Proven experience in developing native iOS applications using Swift/Objective-C and Android applications using Kotlin/Java. Experience with cross-platform frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter) is a plus. Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and best practices. Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and handling JSON data. Familiarity with mobile development lifecycle, including testing, deployment, and App Store submission.
