About the Role WhatJobs Direct is recruiting a Senior Data Scientist with expertise in Predictive Modeling to join our Scientific Research & Development division in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, IN. This pivotal role involves developing and deploying sophisticated predictive models to extract actionable insights from complex datasets. Key Responsibilities Develop, validate, and deploy advanced predictive models using machine learning and statistical techniques. Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities. Collaborate with stakeholders to define business problems and translate them into data science projects. Design and conduct A/B tests and other experiments to evaluate model performance and impact. Clean, preprocess, and transform data to ensure data quality and suitability for modeling. Visualize and communicate complex findings and model insights to technical and non-technical audiences. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and predictive analytics. Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the team's technical growth. Develop and maintain documentation for data science models and methodologies. Contribute to the continuous improvement of data infrastructure and tools. Requirements Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data science, with a focus on predictive modeling. Proven expertise in building and deploying machine learning models (e.g., regression, classification, time series forecasting). Strong programming skills in Python or R, and proficiency with relevant data science libraries (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch). Experience with SQL and working with large datasets. Excellent understanding of statistical concepts and experimental design. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex results clearly. Experience working in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, IN is advantageous. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
