Robotics Simulation Engineer

Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Robotics Simulation Engineer with 1 to 4+ years of hands-on experience in Body-in-White/ General assembly robotic simulation and offline programming for automotive manufacturing lines. The role involves delivering time based simulations, cycle time optimization, and production-ready OLP solutions aligned with global OEM standards. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Tecnomatix Process Simulate and Offline programming for Fanuc robots. Key Responsibilities BIW Robotics Simulation & OLP Develop and validate robotic simulations for spot welding, sealing, stud welding, material handling, and inspection lines. Perform robot path planning, reach studies, gun/tool selection, and kinematics validation. Execute Offline Programming (OLP) with full attribute definition & signaling. Conduct cycle time analysis and optimization. Ensure simulations meet OEM standards and internal quality benchmarks. Layout, Process & Tool Validation Carry out layout studies, robot placement, equipment validation, and safety checks (DCS). Validate welding guns, fixtures, tip dressing stations, cameras, and material handling tools. Support commissioning readiness by delivering production-aligned simulation outputs and SOP documentation. Quality, Automation & Continuous Improvement Reduce QC iterations by improving simulation accuracy and standardization. Drive process automation initiatives using Excel macros, Process Simulate workflows, and basic scripting to reduce manual effort. Prepare detailed feedback reports, documentation, and KPI tracking for stakeholders. Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills Simulation Tools: Tecnomatix Process Simulate. BIW Processes: Spot welding, sealing, stud welding, geo welding, material handling OLP & Validation: Robot paths, tool kinematics, signaling, SRS/WOS execution Design Tools: AutoCAD. Soft Skills Strong ownership and independent execution Excellent attention to detail and quality mindset Effective stakeholder communication Ability to manage multiple stations and tight deadlines Experience 3 to 4 years of experience in robotic simulation and OLP Education Diploma B.E. / B.Tech in Automation, Robotics, Mechanical, or related discipline
