Senior DevOps SRE Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps / SRE Engineer with a background in Golang and previous Apple experience to support and administer large-scale Kubernetes platforms. This role focuses on maintaining mission-critical applications, optimizing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring high availability through robust CI/CD and observability practices. Key Responsibilities: Support and administer large-scale Kubernetes platforms hosting mission-critical applications. Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitOps (Flux), Jenkins, and GitLab. Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform and Ansible for AWS resources (EKS, EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, Route 53, Lambda). Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker, Helm, and Kustomize. Configure monitoring and observability using Prometheus and Grafana; track SLIs/SLOs and manage error budgets. Perform incident triage, root cause analysis (RCA), and resolution of complex network, platform, and application issues. Participate in on-call rotations and restore services within defined SLOs. Harden Kubernetes clusters through network policies and secrets management. Automate operational processes using Python, Bash, and Shell. Support messaging and data platforms including Kafka, Redis, and RabbitMQ. Optimize cloud infrastructure costs through right-sizing and autoscaling. Required Skills: 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform/cloud engineering. Strong hands-on experience administering Kubernetes in production. Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, and AWS core services. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows. Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go. Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk). Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 3 years of previous Apple experience (Ex-Apple). Preferred: CKA certification, HashiCorp Terraform Associate, and Azure Fundamentals.
