About the role
You will be working at a US based startup founded in 2018, focused on developing an edge data platform for the autonomous world. The company deals with rich data collected at the edge in various use cases like autonomous vehicles, smart manufacturing, satellite imagery, smart retail, smart agriculture, etc. This data is unstructured, large in size, distributed, and serves as input for training AI models to enhance automation levels. Key Responsibilities: - Have a strong grasp of JavaScript fundamentals. - Understand ES6 and other next-gen JavaScript constructs. - Be knowledgeable about async programming using promises and callbacks, scope, closures, higher-order functions, and object-oriented programming. - Understand reactive programming using frameworks like Vue, Angular, or React and manage state for complex, multi-component views. - Write DRY code, create reusable components with a good separation of concerns. - Be familiar with build tools and have knowledge of build and packaging using webpack or similar tools. - Have a good understanding of CSS, HTML, basics of UI design, and experience in designing responsive and intuitive UI. - Be proficient with browser-based development tools for debugging logic, performance, network, and other issues. - Know web fundamentals such as Http, REST API design, etc. - Understand data modeling and basics of relational and NoSQL databases. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high-level and sometimes ambiguous requirements, collaborating with multiple stakeholders to drive a feature to completion. Qualifications Required: - Familiarity with Typescript, SASS, SCSS, and testing tools like jest, jasmine, mocha. - Knowledge of Vue JS and its ecosystem - Vuex, Vue Router, Quasar / Vuetify, or other similar component libraries is a plus. - Understanding of a hybrid mobile application development library/framework such as cordova, phone gap, ionic, sencha touch, etc. - Knowledge of Object-Oriented Concepts and Design Patterns. - Experience with wireframing tools like Balsamiq, Sketch, InVision, or similar would be advantageous. Please note that the entire software engineering team is based in India, and the company offers opportunities for designing and developing products from scratch.
