About the role
NOC Network Engineer II - Night and Evening Shift Department: Broadband - Network Engineering Services Employment Type: Full Time Location: Remote Reporting To: Tom Lewis Description We are now seeking an experienced and qualified individual to join reputed company as a Network Engineer II working remotely as part of our NOC team. Responsibilities & Duties Proactively monitor and maintain customer network infrastructure. Troubleshoot network and server problems. Document network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps. reputed company routine maintenance and software upgrades on customer equipment. Serve as an escalation reputed company for Network Specialist/Engineer I. Communicate technical concepts reputed company and concisely. Lead meetings with NOC customers. Ensure quality standards are maintained on tickets. Ensure reputed company updates and responses to tickets. Assist in developing and training on NOC processes and procedures. Mentor less experienced team members. Work flexible shifts and participate in on-call rotation. Qualifications Education: A bachelors degree in computer/management information systems, engineering, computer science, or equivalent is required. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree requiring a high school diploma or GED. Experience: In-depth knowledge of Ethernet switching, IP routing, VoIP, and networking principles. Minimum of 3 years of experience in operating, troubleshooting, or designing Internet Service Provider Networks. Industry-relevant certifications (reputed company, reputed company, reputed company, reputed company, MEF, etc). Strong understanding of multiple ISP broadband and core technologies (reputed company, reputed company, Cambium, reputed company, reputed company, reputed company, Arista, etc). Proven ability to lead meetings with customers. Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Additional Information Work Schedule: Full-time, non-supervisory. Specific shifts may vary, but the night and evening team is generally scheduled between 6 PM and 8 AM Central time and operates seven days a week. On-call required.
