Metallurgical Manager

We are seeking an experienced Metallurgical Manager to lead metallurgical operations within a technologically advanced aluminium manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished metallurgy professional to drive material quality, process excellence, alloy development, and continuous improvement initiatives across high-volume manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Process Engineering, R&D, and Manufacturing Excellence teams to optimize metallurgical performance, improve product reliability, reduce process variation, and support the development of world class aluminium extrusion products. Key Responsibilities * Lead all metallurgical activities across aluminium extrusion and downstream manufacturing operations. * Develop, optimize, and standardize alloy compositions for various customer and industry applications. * Ensure metallurgical compliance with international quality standards and customer specifications. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, and product performance. * Lead root cause analysis of metallurgical defects, failures, and customer quality issues. * Monitor billet quality, casting parameters, homogenization, extrusion behaviour, and heat treatment processes. * Establish process controls to improve material consistency and reduce manufacturing variation. * Supervise laboratory operations, metallurgical testing, and microstructure evaluation. * Manage tensile testing, hardness testing, chemical composition analysis, and metallographic investigations. * Support new product development and qualification of new aluminium alloys. * Partner with Production and Quality teams to enhance manufacturing capability. * Implement best practices in process capability, statistical analysis, and defect prevention. * Mentor and develop metallurgical engineers and laboratory personnel.
