Mainframe Automation Engineer

Role : Automation Engineer Mainframe Automation Experience : 6+ Years Location : Bangalore Primary Skill : Mainframe Automation Role Overview : We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Automation Engineer with strong expertise in mainframe technologies and automation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in automating mainframe applications using Java with Selenium or Python, and be passionate about improving testing efficiency and delivering high-quality automation solutions. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for Mainframe applications. - Develop robust automation frameworks using Java with Selenium or Python. - Analyze business and technical requirements to identify automation opportunities. - Execute automation scripts, troubleshoot issues, and optimize test execution. - Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines where applicable. - Collaborate with development, QA, and business teams to ensure quality deliverables. - Prepare technical documentation and participate in code reviews. - Support production issues and continuously enhance automation processes. Required Skills : - 6+ years of IT experience with strong Mainframe expertise (mandatory). - Hands-on experience in Mainframe automation. - Proficiency in Java with Selenium or Python for automation. - Good understanding of automation frameworks and scripting. - Experience with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and defect tracking tools. - Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills : - Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins. - Exposure to version control tools like Git. - Knowledge of API or database testing is an added advantage. Mandatory Skill : - Mainframe Automation (Mainframe experience is mandatory) with hands-on knowledge of Java Selenium or Python. .
