AVP - Business Intelligence and Insights (Gurugram)

About the Role: This is a senior techno-functional leadership role in the Business Intelligence & Analytics team. You will act as the crucial bridge between business and technology. You will lead the centralized BI function that serves the entire organization, especially sales channels and operations teams. The focus is on driving data-driven decision making, reducing information overload, and building a strong analytics culture. Key Responsibilities: Leadership of Reporting & Dashboards - Manage all reporting needs for sales channels and operations functions. - Build and maintain CXO-level dashboards and performance management systems. BI Strategy & Culture - Define and execute the overall BI strategy. - Promote a data-driven culture across the organization. - Reduce information overload by rationalizing and streamlining reports. Delivery & Automation - Ensure timely and accurate delivery of reports/dashboards. - Drive automation using digital assets and tools. - Use Python heavily for data analysis, modeling, and workflow automation. Data Architecture Collaboration - Work with Data Engineering teams to design, build, and optimize data pipelines. - Use modern cloud technologies: AWS, Redshift, etc. Process Improvement - Continuously identify opportunities to automate and standardize reporting & analytics. Team Leadership - Lead and mentor a team of 510 people (including external partners/vendors). Stakeholder Management - Partner with senior leadership and CXOs to understand business problems and translate them into analytics solutions. Required Skills & Competencies: Education - Masters degree preferred (M.Sc., M.Tech., MBA, or any quantitative discipline). Experience (Very Significant): - 1215 years of relevant experience. - Must have led BI/analytics teams, preferably in a top bank or insurance company. - Strong experience working directly with CXO/senior leadership. - Proven track record in standardizing, streamlining, and automating business reporting. Techno-Functional Attributes (Key Differentiators): - Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable BI/analytics products. - Strong analytical mindset passion for efficiency and change management. - Good domain knowledge of BFSI industry, especially sales channels and operations functions.
