INFORMATICA ADMIN

Role: Informatica IDMC Administrator

Location: Remote Term: 6 Months

Job Description: Our team is looking to hire an Informatica IDMC Admin required to drive implementation of Informatica Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC) on Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC), and migration of on-prem Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) and Informatica Axon content to cloud.

Implementation activities:

• Configuration of IDMC / CDGC target environment.
• Definition of organizations and roles including segregation by business teams, and permissions set up, according to best practices.
• Authentication/Authorization and permissions configuration, including integration with Azure AD and SSO.
• Installation of Secure Agent instances on-prem in non-production and production environments.
• Set up connectivity to on-prem data sources (mainly Oracle, SQL Server, Denodo).
• Set up connectivity to Snowflake enterprise data warehouse and AWS Athena data lake.

Migration activities:

• Scope definition based on analysis of existing business glossary, metadata catalog, and data connectors in EDC/Axon.
• Migration planning in a phased approach following prioritization defined by project lead.
• Migration execution by exporting/importing existing content to Cloud, and/or re-configuration of data connectors to re-scan metadata.
• Conduct technical validations and support UAT testing.

Post-implementation activities:

• Support users during weeks immediately after go live during stabilization phase only.
• Possibility of contract extension as BAU support.
