About the role
Role: MacOS Platform Engineer
Duration: 6+ month contract to hire Location: Remote – Any Continental US time zone Rate: $70/hr on w2
Job Description: The position is calling for a MacOS-specific engineer (not Linux or Windows OS) as the client expands their capabilities. This resource will be responsible for all matters pertaining to MacOS to such as endpoint management and provisioning, process automation, security and vulnerability patching, configurations, installations, etc.
Requirements
a. 3-5 years large-scale experience with open source/code-based macOS management tools (Puppet, Chef, Munki, Autopkg) b. Proven success managing endpoints in a global, remote environment c. Experience with security tooling such as device encryption, anti-virus tooling, digital certificates, patching, and application management d. Experience with scripting in one language (e.g. Python, Bash, Go, PowerShell, Ruby) e. Gaming experience is a huge plus (i.e. Nintendo, Netflix, etc.) f. DevOps mindset
In this role, you will
● Support and maintain the macOS fleet - including profile and application deployment, implementing security enhancements, and handling ticket escalations ● Work with cross-functional partners to automate the endpoint lifecycle ● Automate Mac build farms to support Fortnite development for iOS ● Support M&As, e-discovery, compliance, and audit efforts across the IT organization ● Develop and refine operational metrics, improving the systems used to track our fleet health ● Build and maintain internal and external documentation around process and workflows ● Function as an escalation point for the IT organization and the business
Nice to haves: ● Familiarity with version control (git) and CI/CD ● Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
