This is old school. Job Description: • This role is part of the Salesforce administration team and expected to be an active contributor and support our team in maintaining, supporting and improving the Salesforce platform and related system. • The administrator will also work with triage, technical program managers, development and other internal stakeholders to assist with ticket troubleshooting, develop technical requirements and deliver sound solutions. • The administrator will serve as a Salesforce expert for troubleshooting request from other teams, gather and report on application metrics, build dashboards and use data to correlate and confirm issues. This role requires the ability to work within time constraints, act with good judgment in complex situations, and be able to take effective action in ambiguous situations. Some of the things you'll be doing include… • Act as primary technical administrator for Salesforce and other applications as needed • Manage incoming tickets, reproduce issues, and provide troubleshooting and resolution in a timely manner • Support global deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting and resolution for Salesforce • Build in-depth operational and business knowledge of how systems are used by internal customers, and propose and implement (with developer assistance as needed) improvements • Responsible for providing support through systems implementation, customization, installation, configuration, diagnosis and problem resolution for 3rd party integrations and internally developed applications • Collaborate with software developers and technical program managers to develop requirements for various initiatives and implement appropriate solutions within the platform • Maintain user roles, profiles, security and access settings as needed • Configure and maintain sandbox environments to facilitate successful developments • Use collected data sets to build and expand reports and dashboards to demonstrate health and performance of our systems • Create and keep up-to-date detailed run-books for application maintenance and management • Perform data cleanup and upload efforts as needed • Contribute to change control, release management and ticket tracking processes to minimize and streamline support activities • Maintain current Salesforce platform knowledge Who you are… • Experienced. 3+ years of Salesforce Administration. Salesforce Certified Administrator (ADM-201) preferred. • Educated. BS/BA in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or equivalent. • Highly Technical. You are skilled in the following areas: o Salesforce data tools (DemandTools, Data Loader, Force.com IDE) o Sandbox test environments, including development/staging/production (or similar) deployment cycles o Embrace cloud-based systems and have a solid understanding of the integration points between cloud and on premise applications o Software development life cycle and deployments o Understanding of database systems o large-scale and complex data sets preferred o Practical ITIL knowledge and experience • Problem Solver.
