Role: Director - S4 HANA Operations & Transformation

Duration:6 month contract - potential to convert if strong Location: Charlotte, NC [Days onsite vs. WFH: 3 on site (T-W-H) and 2 from home (M, F)]

Overview: We are seeking an accomplished leader to join our team as the Director of SAP S/4 HANA Technical Services. This pivotal role will oversee the operational excellence of our SAP S/4 HANA systems while driving the transformation journey towards S/4 HANA adoption. The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for SAP Basis administration, SAP Security and SAP Release management in support of our S/4 HANA transformation.

Responsibilities

SAP S/4 HANA Operations Management: Lead the SAP Basis team in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our SAP S/4 HANA systems. Implement best practices for system administration, monitoring, and incident resolution to maintain high availability and reliability. Collaborate with infrastructure teams to optimize SAP environments hosted on AWS Cloud Infrastructure. SAP S/4 HANA Transformation: Partner with business and IT stakeholders to define transformation objectives, timelines, and success criteria. Drive the strategic roadmap related to release management, landscape management, and security. S/4 HANA Release Management: Lead the S/4 HANA Release Management team in orchestrating releases and changes in the dual landscape environment (N, N+1). Collaborate with development, QA, and business teams to plan, schedule, and execute releases with minimal impact on production. SAP Security Collaboration Collaborate with the SAP Security to ensure that they are meeting the requirements of broader S/4 HANA Program Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team members Foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and values. Develop talent within the team through coaching, training, and career development initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 12+ years of experience in SAP operations, transformation, or related roles, with a focus on S/4 HANA. Strong leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a complex IT environment. Expertise in SAP Basis administration, S/4 HANA migration, security, and release management. Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale SAP transformation initiatives. Knowledge of AWS Cloud infrastructure and its integration with SAP systems is highly desirable. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Relevant certifications in SAP Basis, SAP Solution Manager, SAP Security, SAFe Agile, or related fields are a plus.
