Platform Engineering
We are seeking a Senior React Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. In this role, you will design, implement, and support modern, interactive UI solutions using JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS and TypeScript. You’ll collaborate closely with backend developers, designers, and DevOps engineers to deliver scalable, high-quality applications and internal developer tools.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll contribute to the platform’s architecture, guide other developers, and help shape the toolchain and development experience across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop responsive, high-performance UIs using React and TypeScript. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including backend developers, designers, and DevOps. Own the full lifecycle of applications—from development to CI/CD deployment and production support. Contribute to internal platforms, accelerators, and shared libraries used across the enterprise. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code reviews for other developers. Suggest and implement improvements to the platform and development processes. Integrate with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and various databases (SQL/NoSQL). Participate in platform engineering initiatives, including Backstage and IDP tooling. Required Qualifications
5+ years of professional software engineering experience. Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and JavaScript. Experience with Node.js for backend development and scripting. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, and DevOps practices. Experience with authentication/authorization (OAuth, SSO, etc.). Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and deliver high-quality results. Preferred/Bonus Skills
Experience with Backstage or other internal developer platforms. Familiarity with Azure or other cloud platforms. Experience building and maintaining command-line tools, automated scripts, or open-source libraries. Contributions to hackathons, tech talks, or coding communities. Demonstrated ability to lead projects or mentor junior developers. Portfolio or GitHub showcasing personal or professional projects. Additional Notes
This is a platform engineering role, not a traditional full-stack position. Strong emphasis on React and platform contributions, not just usage. Candidates should be able to clearly articulate their individual contributions to past projects.
