Required Skills: Must have experience working with Figma. Must be willing to work on-site 3 days/week in Austin, TX

Duties: Incorporates branding and common design guidelines into products. Creates wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes and specifications. Maintains style guides for varying methods of delivery. Follows appropriate design methodology, tools, and protocols to conduct user-centered design. Translates analytics data into visual designs to support interpretation and generation of insights or vice versa. Monitors external patterns and trends and evaluates their impact on internal design philosophies. Performs research and makes recommendations for adopting relevant emerging design trends.

Other Relevant Information: We’re looking for UX Designer Production contractor to join our team in our Austin, TX or Westlake, TX offices. This UXD Production role reports to C2’s UX Strategy Team Manager and will manage documentation for Beacon.

Main responsibilities: • Own the Beacon design library in Figma. This includes moving all component designs to the Figma library post release, following the proper setup and structure, and overall keeping the library and all components up to date. • Become Beacon’s Figma SME. Assist agencies and others within and outside of Schwab in answering questions on how to use the components. Host demos and manage communication once a quarter to show what is new in the Figma library. • Support Bynder site documentation and upkeep. In addition to the Figma design library, Beacon maintains further documentation on Bynder around component usage, etc. • Create authoring guides and tutorial videos for net new components and component enhancements (and then publish on Bynder). • Partner with Beacon’s UX Researcher to provide any artifacts/stim needed for user testing.

Requirements

• Deep familiarity working on a digital design system and understanding of atomic-based design • Proficiency in Figma, including the ability to train others in Figma • Experience with Jira and working with a product delivery team in agile processes • Familiarity with content management systems • Detail oriented and self-starter, including the ability to self-manage multiple tasks at one time • Clear and polished communication and presentation style • Comfortable working on a distributed team (i.e., Beacon team members sit within other teams across Schwab) -- --- ---- Thanks & Regards, Ujwala Pinninti Thoughtwave Software and Solutions 314 N.
