Prior lead experience necessary at minimum, but ideally the candidate would have 1 year of management. Does not care at all about industry experience, previous Optum/UHG has been highly successful with them, Target as well. We are looking for candidates have have a 4 year degree in computer science for an American University. Job Description: Project: TAG (Transact Global): real time credit card payments processing application visa/MC, annual spend of 30 billion dollars. D2D: Solutions Architecture Code reviews Will be getting a lot of mentorship from other SDMs and Matt on leadership capabilities/direction 40% overarching team support 1on1s, delivery management, etc. 20% systems design/architecture 20% delivery management/miscellaneous deliverable coordination/collaboration 20% hands on code Implementation themselves, code reviews Must-Haves (Concepts & Tools): Lead experience (at least, 1 year management preferred) Golang tech stack but not a requirement – Java okay Automation written in java but that’s going away, they will be fully Golang Cloud based deployed in AWS Docker for containers locally, and AWS fargate (moving to Kub)) MongoDB (considering SQL AND NOSQL longterm) need to know how to design backend data store (NOSQL is a must) API’s used for real time, batch processes externally but internally is moving to Kafka or SQS in AWS (kafka is nice to have but preferred) Should have more experience than batch processing, needs experience in real time API’s/kafka/queues, etc Experience with Collaboration between teams Doesn’t care about domain experience – wants people who “can learn it” not “have it” Development Methodology: Agile

Team breakdown: 5 delivery teams This person will manage 1 of 5 This person will be in charge of: delivery scheduling, technical implementation, technical design for their own team along with collaborating across all 5 teams for direction of the larger platform. Team comprised of: Product manager SEs – will direct report to SDM QEs – dotted line to the SDM Interview details/process: No longer live coding exercise, have moved to a take home assessment Moved to a product brief approach, the candidate has 5 business days to complete the take home assessment and submit it, then on the interview the team will ask the candidate to walk through their assessment, the expectation from the hiring team is that the finished assessment is to be production quality and needs to be tested/delivered as if it was in production.
