Position: Software Engineer Java & Go (Database Migration) Job Type: Freelance Work Mode: Remote Experience: 5+ Years About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join the Database Migration Services (DMS) Homogeneous team. This team is responsible for building reliable, scalable, and high-performance solutions that simplify database migrations with minimal downtime and operational impact. You will design and develop migration services that enable seamless "Lift and Shift" migrations between homogeneous database platforms such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server. This role requires strong backend engineering expertise using Java and Go, along with experience in distributed systems, cloud technologies, and database migration. Key Responsibilities Design and develop backend services for Database Migration Services (DMS). Build scalable Control Plane services using Java. Develop high-performance data movement and infrastructure components using Go (Golang). Design reliable migration workflows for MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server. Optimize migration performance, scalability, and reliability. Build APIs and backend services for migration orchestration. Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineering teams. Troubleshoot production issues and improve platform reliability. Write unit, integration, and performance tests. Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions.
