Key Responsibilities Develop, review, test, and commission PLC and Understand machine functionality and develop reliable, scalable, and maintainable automation solutions. Design, configure, and troubleshoot industrial communication networks and machine architectures. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and machine operation. Perform software reviews, debugging, offline simulation, and validation before machine deployment. Integrate PLCs, HMIs, IPCs, robots, vision systems, scanners, drives, and field devices into complete automation solutions. Configure, commission, and optimize servo systems, stepper motors, VFDs, and motion control applications. Integrate industrial robots into automated manufacturing systems, including communication with PLCs and peripheral equipment. Configure and tune sensors, vision systems, barcode/RFID scanners, safety devices, and machine interfaces. Perform machine installation, startup, commissioning, Site Acceptance Test (SAT), and customer handover. Troubleshoot automation, electrical, networking, and machine issues to minimize downtime and improve reliability. Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Design, Vision, Robots, Quality, and Project teams throughout project execution. Prepare project schedules and ensure timely completion of installation and commissioning activities. Maintain software backups, version control, commissioning reports, and technical documentation. Support customer production during machine ramp-up and resolve field issues effectively. Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and engineering best practices. Provide technical support across all three shifts whenever required. Travel within India and internationally for machine installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer support. Required Technical Skills PLC Programming Hands-on programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting experience with one or more of the following platforms: Siemens Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation) Omron Mitsubishi PC-Based Automation Experience with industrial PC (IPC)-based automation and real-time control platforms such as: Beckhoff TwinCAT CODESYS B&R Automation Studio Other IEC 61131-3 compliant automation platforms HMI & SCADA HMI development and visualization SCADA integration Recipe management Alarm management Data logging Industrial Communication Networks Good understanding of industrial communication protocols including: Profinet Ethernet/IP EtherCAT Profibus Modbus TCP/RTU CC-Link OPC UA (preferred) Motion Control Hands-on experience with: Servo drives and motors Stepper motor systems Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) Electronic camming Motion synchronization Position control applications Industrial Robot Integration Experience in integrating industrial robots with automated production systems. Preferred exposure to one or more robot platforms: ABB FANUC KUKA Yaskawa Universal Robots (UR) Epson Mitsubishi Responsibilities include: Robot programming and commissioning PLC-robot communication Safety integration Robot calibration and TCP setup Cycle time optimization Integration with vision systems and peripheral equipment Machine Integration Hands-on experience integrating: Vision systems Barcode/RFID scanners Sensors Pneumatic systems Safety PLCs and safety devices Electrical control panels I/O systems Engineering Skills Read and interpret electrical schematics and control panel drawings. Strong machine troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills. Experience in software simulation, machine commissioning, FAT, and SAT. Knowledge of machine safety standards and industrial automation best practices. Experience 2-4 years of experience in industrial automation, machine building, or assembly line automation. Experience in Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) in automotive, electronics, medical devices, consumer products, or precision manufacturing industries is an advantage.
