• Partner with teams across the business and third parties to understand their needs and come up with end-to-end data solutions \n• Define LookML views that describe the tables in the database.\n• Specify dimensions, measures, and parameters within views to create reusable components for explorers.\n• Create explores in Looker to provide users with an interface for querying and visualizing data.\n• Define joins between views to ensure users can explore data across different tables accurately.\n• Develop .sqlx files in Dataform to define SQL transformations, including tables, views, assertions, and operations.\n• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable SQL code to implement data transformations and business logic.\n• Use Dataform’s features such as parameterization, variables, and reusable functions to streamline SQL development.\n• Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage changes to .sqlx files and collaborate with team members.\n• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency across the team.\n• Develop and implement data validation tests in Dataform/BigQueryto ensure data accuracy and integrity.\n• Perform data validation between development and production environments to ensure consistency.\n• Compare results between dev and prod environments, identify discrepancies, and investigate the root causes.\n• Set up continuous integration (CI) pipelines to automate the testing and deployment of .sqlx files.\n• Implement best practices for query optimization and resource management in BigQuery.\n• Model data to create core, governed data sets for the entire company to leverage\n• Build scalable transformation pipelines that enable teams to easily clean up, normalize, and govern data for broad consumption\n• Manage and model data in visualization tools, to provide a collaborative data analytics platform for the company\n• Build tools and processes to help make the right data accessible to the right people\n• Become a subject matter expert on the various datasets and tools we have at Intuit (Mailchimp).\n\n\n\n\n\n
