Site Reliability Engineer

Role Overview: As a Site Reliability Engineer within Client Engagement and Protection APS team at BNP Paribas India Solutions, your primary responsibility will be to handle all core engineering and transformation activities of ISPL Transversal CEP APS. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the high availability of applications with minimal downtime by automating processes, driving transformation strategies, implementing new technologies, and monitoring system performance. Key Responsibilities: - Automate away toil using a combination of scripting, tooling, and process improvements - Drive transformation strategies involving infrastructure hygiene and end-of-life procedures - Implement new technologies or processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs, such as CI/CD implementation - Monitor system performance and capacity levels to ensure high availability of applications with minimal downtime - Investigate service disruptions or other issues to identify root causes - Perform regular audits of computer systems to check for signs of degradation or malfunction - Develop and implement new methods of measuring service quality and customer satisfaction - Conduct capacity planning to accommodate new technologies without impacting existing users - Drive various Automation, Monitoring & Tooling initiatives across CEP APS and other teams within CIB APS - Generate, report, and improve various Production KPIs, SLs, and dashboards for APS teams - Improve service and presentations for all governances and steering committees - Maintain and enhance IT continuity plans (ICP) Qualifications Required: - Strong knowledge of DevOps methodology and toolsets - Strong knowledge of Cloud-based applications/services - Strong knowledge of APM Tools such as Dynatrace or AppDynamics - Strong Distributed Computing and Database technologies skillset - Strong knowledge of Jenkins, Ansible, Python, Scripting, etc. - Good understanding of Log aggregators like Splunk or ELK - Good understanding of observability tools such as Grafana or Prometheus - Ability to collaborate with various APS, Development, and Operations stakeholders locally and globally - Dynamic, proactive, and teamwork-oriented - Independent, self-starter, and fast learner - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Practical knowledge of change, incident & problem management tools - Innovative and transformational mindset - Flexible attitude - Ability to perform under pressure - Strong analytical skills - Preferred qualifications include ITIL, Dockers/Kubernetes, prior knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering/Dev-Ops/Application Production Support/Development background (Note: The above qualifications are based on the job description provided and may vary.
