Battery Design and Development

About the internship: Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Designing battery packs. 2. Forming multi-modular concepts. 3. Interacting across cross-teams (design-development, manufacturing, and supply chain). 4. Assisting the manufacturing and process team for the scale-up of the battery pack production. 5. Liaising with testing agencies for certifications (ICAT, ARAI, etc). 6. Cell tab joining, such as bolting, laser welding, spot welding, and wire bonding. 7. Calculation of Busbar thickness and design. 8. Conducting thermal analysis. Hands-on experience with designing tools such as SolidWorks, NX, and Catia V5. 2. Understanding cell chemistry like NMC, NCA, LFP, etc. 3. Strong hold on thermodynamics concepts. 4. Structural and thermal management design of the HV battery pack and other auxiliary systems. 5. Knowledge of passive and active cooling systems. 6. Should have strong communication and presentation skills. 7. Strong in technical decision-making.
