About the role
[About the Role] Join our team as a Manufacturing Engineering - Cleared Contractor (Level 3) in Clifton, NJ. You’ll play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for advanced products in a dynamic, high-security environment. Take ownership of process improvements, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and directly impact product quality and operational efficiency. Enjoy a 9/80 work schedule offering every other Friday off, promoting work-life balance.
[Responsibilities]
- Develop, implement, and analyze manufacturing engineering plans and projects
- Translate technical drawings into detailed work instructions for assembly and testing
- Drive continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, tooling, and documentation
- Optimize circuit card, module, and electro-mechanical assemblies
- Conduct failure analysis and risk mitigation for products and processes
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and operator training
- Prepare technical documentation and deliver training to staff
- Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to leadership
[Required Skills and Experience]
- Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience (or Graduate degree with 2+ years; 8+ years of experience accepted in lieu of degree)
- Proven ability to improve and control manufacturing processes
- Experience with standard and legacy manufacturing equipment and tooling
- Strong technical writing, documentation, and training capabilities
- Eligible to obtain a US Secret security clearance
[Preferred Skills]
- Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering background
- Proficiency in DFM, Six-Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and DMAIC methodologies
- Advanced problem-solving skills and data-driven decision making
- Project management expertise
- Experience optimizing legacy systems and code
