They evaluate transportation networks, warehouse layouts, inventory systems, and distribution strategies to enhance productivity and service levels. Logistics Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement process improvements, analyze logistics data, and leverage technology to streamline operations while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards . Responsibilities Design and optimize logistics, transportation, and distribution processes. Analyze supply chain operations to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs. Develop and implement warehouse layouts and material handling solutions. Plan and optimize transportation routes to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries. Monitor inventory flow and coordinate with procurement, production, and warehouse teams. Evaluate logistics performance using KPIs and data analytics. Identify process bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Utilize logistics management systems, ERP, and warehouse management systems (WMS) to manage operations. Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure smooth operations. Conduct capacity planning and demand forecasting to support business requirements. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and transportation laws. Prepare logistics reports, cost analyses, and operational performance dashboards. Support automation and digital transformation initiatives within logistics operations. Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics and distribution activities. Manage logistics projects, including facility expansions, network optimization, and process redesign.
