The role involves reviewing technical drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations, and overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems. MEP Engineers collaborate with architects, contractors, and project teams to deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining quality standards. They also prepare technical reports, manage project resources, implement energy-efficient solutions, troubleshoot system issues, and support maintenance activities to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of building services. Responsibilities Design, review, and implement mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for construction projects. Prepare and review MEP drawings, specifications, and technical documents. Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure smooth project execution. Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems. Conduct site inspections to monitor work quality and compliance with project requirements. Ensure adherence to local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Prepare project schedules, cost estimates, and progress reports. Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions during construction and maintenance activities. Manage subcontractors, materials, and resources related to MEP works. Implement energy-efficient and sustainable building solutions. Perform risk assessments and ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance on site. Support preventive maintenance activities and optimize the performance of MEP systems. Monitor project timelines and budgets to ensure successful project completion. Maintain accurate documentation, records, and as-built drawings for all MEP installations.
