About the Role Our client, a leader in specialized industrial equipment, is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with expertise in Embedded Systems . This is an on-site role critical for developing sophisticated control systems for our next-generation machinery. You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of embedded hardware design, from conceptualization and schematic capture to PCB layout, prototyping, and testing. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of microcontrollers, real-time operating systems (RTOS), sensor integration, and power management. We are looking for a detail-oriented engineer who can deliver robust and reliable embedded solutions for demanding industrial applications. This position offers the chance to work on technically challenging projects and contribute significantly to product innovation within a collaborative engineering environment. Key Responsibilities Design and develop embedded hardware systems, including schematic capture and PCB layout for microcontrollers and associated peripherals. Select microcontrollers, memory, sensors, communication interfaces, and other embedded components. Design power management circuits, including voltage regulation and battery charging systems. Develop firmware/software for embedded systems using C/C++ and RTOS. Integrate various sensors and actuators into the embedded system. Perform hardware bring-up, testing, debugging, and validation of embedded designs. Collaborate with software engineers, mechanical engineers, and test engineers to ensure system integration. Ensure designs meet relevant industry standards for safety, reliability, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Prepare design documentation, test procedures, and manufacturing support materials. Analyze and troubleshoot complex hardware and firmware issues. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the embedded design process and methodologies. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in embedded hardware design and development. Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad). Strong knowledge of microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM Cortex-M, PIC, AVR) and real-time operating systems (RTOS). Experience in C/C++ programming for embedded applications. Familiarity with embedded communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, CAN). Experience with hardware debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG debuggers. Understanding of power electronics and power management techniques. Knowledge of EMC/EMI principles and testing procedures is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
