About the Role Our client, a forward-thinking energy solutions provider, is looking for a talented Energy Storage Systems Engineer to join their growing team in Chandigarh, Chandigarh . This role is central to developing and deploying advanced energy storage technologies that are crucial for grid stability, renewable energy integration, and energy independence. You will be involved in the full lifecycle of energy storage projects, from conceptual design and simulation to implementation, testing, and performance monitoring. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, coupled with specialized knowledge of battery technologies, power electronics, and control systems. You will work closely with project managers, R&D teams, and field engineers to deliver robust and efficient energy storage solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, engineer, and optimize energy storage systems (ESS) including battery management systems (BMS) and power conversion systems. Perform system-level analysis, simulations, and modeling for ESS performance and integration. Develop technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for ESS projects. Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of ESS at various sites. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ESS operation and performance. Collaborate with R&D teams on the selection and validation of new battery chemistries and ESS technologies. Ensure compliance with safety standards, grid codes, and regulatory requirements for ESS deployment. Conduct performance monitoring and data analysis to identify areas for improvement. Manage vendor relationships for ESS components and equipment. Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and clients. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing or engineering energy storage systems. Strong understanding of battery technologies (Li-ion, flow batteries, etc.), BMS, and power conversion systems. Proficiency in simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PSIM, or similar. Knowledge of grid integration standards and power system dynamics. Experience with control system design for ESS applications. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with project management principles is a plus.
