Overview The SAP GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) Consultant plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the organization adheres to compliance standards while managing risks effectively. This role is integral to safeguarding sensitive information and processes, enabling organizations to operate efficiently and responsibly in an increasingly complex regulatory environment. The SAP GRC Consultant is responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing GRC tools within the SAP ecosystem, ensuring that the organization's systems are robust, secure, and compliant with laws and regulations. By proactively identifying and mitigating risks, this professional helps to enhance overall business performance and build trust with stakeholders. Their work not only protects the organization's assets but also provides a framework for continuous improvement and strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Implement and configure SAP GRC applications based on organizational needs. Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and create mitigation plans. Manage user access controls and ensure segregation of duties (SoD) compliance. Develop and document GRC policies, procedures, and standards. Monitor and report on compliance metrics to senior management. Collaborate with internal teams to align SAP GRC with business goals. Provide training and support to end-users regarding GRC functionalities. Lead audits and assessments to evaluate GRC effectiveness and compliance. Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes impacting GRC. Facilitate GRC workshops and information sessions for stakeholders. Optimize GRC tools and processes to enhance operational efficiency. Conduct impact analysis for system changes and updates on GRC solutions. Act as a liaison between IT and business units regarding GRC initiatives. Document and track compliance-related incidents and action items. Participate in the creation of business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. 5+ years of experience in SAP GRC implementations and support. Strong knowledge of SAP modules related to GRC. Experience with risk management frameworks and methodologies. Understanding of regulatory requirements pertinent to the organization (e.g., SOX, GDPR). Professional certifications in GRC or related areas (e.g., CISA, CRISC, SAP GRC certifications). Proficiency in SAP security and authorizations. Experience with process mapping and documentation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams. High attention to detail and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently. Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills. Experience with audit and compliance tools. Knowledge of ITIL frameworks is a plus.
