As a Deskside Support Technician Level 2, your role will involve providing technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals, including basic troubleshooting for various operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux. You will also be responsible for provisioning and deprovisioning corporate devices like laptops and phones. Additionally, you will need to replace broken devices with temporary ones as per Ericsson's processes and offer technical guidance to end users for their day-to-day IT issues within the office environment. Coordination with L2 teams, such as the end user computing team and EMM, will also be a part of your responsibilities. Your role will also encompass office IT infrastructure support, where you will perform basic troubleshooting, installations, and maintenance for EIT services like printing, connectivity, platform, and voice. This includes tasks such as installing, testing, and removing network devices, troubleshooting network connectivity, and providing support for smart metering and real estate solutions within the office environment. You will be involved in tasks related to PABXs, printer installations, AV equipment testing, workplace monitor deployment, and logistics handling. Furthermore, providing support to remote Level 2 teams, coordinating with vendors for repairs, maintaining incident records, and assisting during audits and compliance checks will be part of your responsibilities. In terms of asset management, you will be responsible for receiving, registering, tagging, and labeling devices in the hardware asset management system. Testing devices upon arrival, storing them securely, and updating records regularly to maintain accurate inventory information are crucial tasks. You will also perform periodic audits of hardware assets, arrange for device disposal as per the approved process, arrange temporary laptop loans, coordinate warranty repairs, and ensure devices are clean and checked before redeployment. Offsite tape management coordination with third-party suppliers may also be required. Additionally, your role may involve project-based site support, including providing assistance for office moves, equipment relocations, or hardware refresh projects, as well as supporting local business events such as AEMs and demos based on demand. Please note that this job opportunity is based in Hyderabad, India, and the language requirements include proficiency in English and Hindi.
