Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain SQL databases to ensure optimal performance and high availability

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve database-related issues swiftly and efficiently

• Execute routine maintenance, upgrades, backups, and recovery operations

• Write, review, and optimize SQL queries within applications for maximum efficiency

• Analyze server resource usage to identify and implement performance improvements

• Develop and update comprehensive documentation and technical specifications

• Oversee database migrations, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal downtime

• Collaborate closely with technical teams and stakeholders to address evolving database needs

• Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Database Administrator

• Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving user-reported database issues

• Proficiency in SQL query optimization and relational database systems

• Solid understanding of database design principles and security best practices

• Experience with backup, recovery, and routine maintenance processes

• Familiarity with configuring and managing database engines and clusters

• Strong skills in performance monitoring, profiling tools, and database upgrades

• Effective communicator with the ability to document and explain technical details clearly

• Experience with version control tools such as GitLab

• Knowledge of SSIS package development and management

• Preferred Skills

• Exposure to advanced clustering and high-availability solutions

• Experience with automation of routine DBA tasks

• Familiarity with cloud-based database environments
