About the Role

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain SQL databases to ensure optimal performance and high availability

Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve database-related issues swiftly and efficiently

Execute routine maintenance, upgrades, backups, and recovery operations

Write, review, and optimize SQL queries within applications for maximum efficiency

Analyze server resource usage to identify and implement performance improvements

Develop and update comprehensive documentation and technical specifications

Oversee database migrations, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal downtime
-
Collaborate closely with technical teams and stakeholders to address evolving database needs

Required Skills and Experience

5+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Database Administrator

Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving user-reported database issues

Proficiency in SQL query optimization and relational database systems
-
Solid understanding of database design principles and security best practices
-
Experience with backup, recovery, and routine maintenance processes

Familiarity with configuring and managing database engines and clusters
-
Strong skills in performance monitoring, profiling tools, and database upgrades
-
Effective communicator with the ability to document and explain technical details clearly
-
Experience with version control tools such as GitLab
-
Knowledge of SSIS package development and management

Preferred Skills

Exposure to advanced clustering and high-availability solutions

Experience with automation of routine DBA tasks
