Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Kafka and SQL

• Write, read, and optimize SQL queries to support data processing tasks

• Apply foundational ETL/ELT concepts for data integration and transformation

• Collaborate with senior engineers on data warehousing and analytics initiatives

• Troubleshoot data issues and ensure data quality

• Work within a Unix environment for data operations and scripting

• Contribute to project documentation and continuous improvement efforts

• Required Skills and Experience

• Proficient in Kafka for data streaming

• Skilled in SQL: able to read, write, and troubleshoot queries

• Basic understanding of ETL or ELT concepts

• Familiar with Unix operating system fundamentals

• Motivated, eager to learn, and committed to quality work

• Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Snowflake or Hadoop platforms

• Experience with Python scripting

• Understanding of data warehousing principles

• Background in banking, AML, or financial industries
