EXCLUSIVE Sr. Data Engineer – Englewood, CO (Hybrid)
About the Role
Join the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) as a Sr. Data Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping enterprise data solutions for the Sabretooth project and beyond. As a highly experienced professional, you will leverage your expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Medallion Architecture, and Python/SQL to drive innovative data strategies. Work in a hybrid setting—2 days onsite in Englewood, CO, and 3 days remote—while collaborating with forward-thinking teams on impactful medical data initiatives.
Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines, database code, and ETL processes using Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, T-SQL, and Python

Architect and implement Medallion Architecture to ensure scalable and reusable data models

Execute advanced data management and data cleansing to maximize data quality and integrity

Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex data and application issues with precision and speed

Create and modify database objects (tables, views, functions, stored procedures, triggers)
-
Manage code migrations and DevOps/MLOps processes leveraging CI/CD best practices
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions aligned with MGMA’s strategy

Contribute to the ongoing evolution of reporting and analytics infrastructure

Required Skills and Experience

10+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering roles

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Python, T-SQL

Deep understanding of Medallion Architecture

Strong background in building and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes

Proven track record in implementing data management and data quality processes

Preferred Skills
-
Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Fabric, and Purview

Experience working with multiple BI platforms and vendor solutions
