About the Role

Responsibilities

Architect, design, and implement modern data platforms using GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Composer, Dataproc)

Establish and enforce data modeling standards (3NF, star, snowflake, semantic layers) to support enterprise analytics and reporting

Develop and optimize secure ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and semi-structured data using Fivetran, Google DTS, and Qlik
-
Integrate SaaS, on-premise, and cloud data sources for seamless enterprise data movement
-
Build and maintain data structures for enterprise reporting platforms (MicroStrategy, Power BI, Tableau)
-
Drive data governance for quality, metadata, lineage, and security using IAM and VPC-SC
-
Implement strategies for backup, disaster recovery, and high availability
-
Partner with engineering, analytics, and reporting teams to drive unified, governed data layers and improve BI adoption

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to cross-functional architecture reviews

Required Skills and Experience
-
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field

8+ years in data architecture or data engineering roles
-
Deep expertise with GCP: BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Composer
-
Hands-on experience with Qlik, Fivetran, Google DTS, or similar ingestion tools

Proficiency in enterprise reporting platforms: MicroStrategy (preferred), Power BI, Tableau

Advanced SQL and data modeling capabilities

Experience designing secure and governed enterprise data environments

Preferred Skills
-
GCP Professional Data Engineer or Architect certification

Experience with MicroStrategy Mosaic, Library, Workstation, or Semantic Graph

Python scripting for orchestration and pipeline automation

Familiarity with FinOps/cloud cost optimization practices

Experience with streaming architectures (Pub/Sub, Dataflow)

Knowledge of data catalog tools (Dataplex, Collibra, Alation)
