Data Engineer – Pratt & Whitney (Plano, TX) – ITAR | Full-time | US Citizens Only

[Responsibilities]
- Design, develop, and maintain robust end-to-end data pipelines using Azure Databricks and data ingestion tools
- Engineer scalable frameworks for ingesting data from APIs, databases, files, and cloud sources (batch and incremental processes)
- Optimize complex data transformations using Spark, SQL, and Python for analytics and machine learning initiatives
- Develop and refine data models to support Power BI reporting and advanced analytics
- Partner with analytics teams to deliver high-quality datasets and reporting solutions
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and consistency via validation frameworks and monitoring systems
- Optimize pipeline, storage, and compute resources within the Azure ecosystem
- Implement and uphold data governance practices, including lineage, cataloging, and comprehensive documentation
- Support CI/CD processes for seamless deployment of data engineering workflows
[Required Skills and Experience]
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering
- Deep expertise with data ingestion (ETL/ELT), Azure Data Factory, and data modeling
- Advanced proficiency in Azure Databricks (PySpark/Spark SQL) and medallion architecture
- Familiarity with SQL, relational, and NoSQL databases
- Strong experience with data lake/warehouse platforms (Azure Data Lake, One Lake, Delta Tables)
- Proven ability to work with large structured and semi-structured datasets
- Effective collaboration and communication skills to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- US Citizenship required (ITAR compliance)

- Hands-on exposure to CI/CD tools for data engineering
