About the Role

Responsibilities

Maintain and optimize enterprise DNS environments to ensure high availability, resiliency, and top performance

Manage DNS zones, records, and lifecycle activities across complex, multi-environment infrastructures

Lead and support incident response, root cause analysis, and problem management for DNS services
-
Partner with network, security, and application teams to align DNS solutions with business goals
-
Drive automation initiatives for DNS provisioning and lifecycle management using Python, REST APIs, Ansible, or Terraform
-
Integrate DNS with infrastructure-as-code and modern API-driven processes
-
Implement DNS security best practices, including DNSSEC, monitoring, and vulnerability remediation
-
Support audits, compliance, and security risk mitigation in coordination with security teams
-
Engage with cross-functional teams to support application onboarding, migrations, and change management
-
Required Skills and Experience
-
3+ years of DNS engineering or network infrastructure experience in enterprise settings
-
Strong understanding of DNS fundamentals: recursive vs. authoritative, resolution flow, zone design
-
Hands-on experience with enterprise DNS platforms (BlueCat, Infoblox, BIND)
-
Automation skills with tools like Python, REST APIs, Ansible, Terraform
-
Solid knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, DHCP, and IPAM
-
Proven troubleshooting skills for complex infrastructure issues
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset

Preferred Skills
-
Exposure to cloud DNS services (AWS Route 53, Azure DNS, GCP DNS)
-
Knowledge of DNS security concepts: DNSSEC, DDoS mitigation, threat detection
-
Experience in large-scale, highly available enterprise environments

Familiarity with enterprise change, incident, and problem management processes
