Release Engineer – Cloud (Azure/AWS) Location: Houston, TX (Onsite) | Job Type: C2C
About the Role
Join our rapidly growing team as a Release Engineer and drive the deployment and release of innovative cloud-based solutions. In this hands-on role, you’ll collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline the software delivery lifecycle, leveraging Azure and AWS platforms. Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage robust automated CI/CD pipelines with integrated security and quality gates.

Provision, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.

Lead and execute cloud release engineering activities, ensuring compliance with security and organizational standards.

Safeguard code integrity and serve as a gatekeeper throughout the infrastructure and application lifecycle.

Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless releases and resolve deployment issues efficiently.

Communicate release status, challenges, and improvement opportunities with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to global cloud architecture strategy.

Required Skills and Experience
-
0-5+ years’ experience in release engineering or cloud infrastructure roles (multiple levels open).

AZ-104 Azure Administrator Associate certification or AWS equivalent.

Proven expertise in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD processes, and Terraform.

Proficiency with git workflows, programming concepts, and Azure Virtual Desktop.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills
-
AZ-900, AZ-204, or HashiCorp Terraform Associate certifications.

Experience with AWS environments and cloud services.

Background in customer-facing roles and team collaboration.
