About the Role
Join our innovative data engineering team as a Senior Cloud ETL Developer, specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery. You’ll play a pivotal role in architecting, building, and optimizing enterprise-scale data pipelines for advanced analytics and reporting. Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to deliver cloud-native, scalable, and secure data solutions in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.
Responsibilities

Design, build, and optimize robust ETL/ELT pipelines for both structured and unstructured data using GCP native services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Dataproc).

Develop and orchestrate automated data workflows utilizing Fivetran, Google DTS, and custom frameworks.

Implement advanced data modeling, partitioning, clustering, and cost/performance tuning in BigQuery.

Integrate a variety of data sources (SaaS, on-prem, cloud) with enterprise reporting tools such as MicroStrategy, Power BI, and Tableau.

Ensure high data quality, validation, observability, schema management, and reconciliation for enterprise-grade data environments.

Enforce data access controls, compliance standards, and security best practices using IAM, service accounts, and VPC-SC.

Design disaster recovery, backup, and high-availability strategies for critical data platforms.

Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues, latency problems, and pipeline failures.

Mentor junior engineers and serve as a technical advisor for enterprise reporting and integration initiatives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including analytics, product owners, architects, and business stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

6–10+ years of hands-on ETL/Data Engineering experience.
-
8-10+ years of advanced SQL development and data modeling expertise.
-
8+ years of experience in data architecture for large-scale environments.
-
Proven expertise with GCP (BigQuery, Composer, Dataflow, Cloud Storage).

Practical experience with Fivetran, Google DTS, or similar cloud ingestion tools.

Skilled in enterprise reporting platforms—MicroStrategy preferred, plus Power BI/Tableau.

Track record in designing secure, governed, and high-performance data environments.

Preferred Skills

Advanced SQL and stored procedures.

Proficiency in Python for pipeline development and orchestration scripting.

Experience with cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices.

Familiarity with streaming architectures (Pub/Sub to Dataflow).

Knowledge of data catalog tools (Dataplex, Collibra, Alation).
