Overview The SAP Functional Testing role is paramount within our organization as it ensures that all SAP applications and processes function correctly and meet business requirements. This position is responsible for validating the functionality of SAP systems by designing, executing, and reviewing test cases to identify discrepancies and ensure quality within our software solutions. SAP Functional Testers collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, and project managers, to ensure effective communication and understanding of software requirements. As such, this role not only contributes to the successful implementation of new functionalities but also enhances system performance and user experience by delivering high-quality software. Ultimately, the success of our SAP initiatives relies on rigorous testing and validation processes, underscoring the crucial nature of this role in facilitating smooth business operations and achieving strategic goals. Key Responsibilities Design and develop comprehensive test cases based on functional specifications. Execute functional testing for new SAP configurations and enhancements. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document testing requirements. Analyze and prioritize testing scenarios to ensure optimal coverage. Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionalities remain unaffected. Identify, report, and track software defects through to resolution. Participate in user acceptance testing activities with end-users. Create and maintain detailed testing documentation and reports. Provide training and support to junior testing team members. Review and verify test results, analyzing discrepancies against expected outcomes. Work with developers to address identified issues and facilitate fixes. Maintain knowledge of SAP best practices and testing methodologies. Assist in the development of automated test scripts when appropriate. Communicate test progress and results to project teams and management. Participate in continuous improvement efforts for testing processes. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in SAP functional testing. Strong understanding of SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, FI, CO, etc.). Experience in designing and executing test cases and test plans. Familiarity with testing tools and defect tracking systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Prior experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies is a plus. Understanding of SQL and database testing is beneficial. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy. Certifications in SAP or QA testing preferred. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies. Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
