Overview The Sr. WebKit QA Automation Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and performance of web applications through rigorous testing and automation processes. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in WebKit testing and automation frameworks to develop and execute test plans, identifying defects and potential issues before they reach the customer. As part of a collaborative team, the Sr. WebKit QA Automation Engineer will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that quality assurance practices are integrated throughout the software development lifecycle. By implementing effective test strategies and fostering a culture of quality, this role helps drive continuous improvements in product performance and reliability, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the organization. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using WebKit frameworks. Create comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements. Execute automated and manual tests, documenting results and logging defects. Participate in requirement analysis and provide feedback on testability. Develop and implement test strategies that ensure exhaustive coverage of critical functionalities. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration. Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve defects effectively. Perform API testing to validate backend services. Conduct performance and load testing of web applications. Utilize defect tracking tools to manage and prioritize issues. Review and enhance existing test automation frameworks. Provide training and mentorship to junior QA team members. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning. Stay updated with industry trends and testing methodologies. Ensure compliance with QA best practices and standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in QA automation testing with a focus on WebKit. Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Ruby. Experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or similar. In-depth knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and browser behavior. Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar platforms. Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle. Experience in performing API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured. Strong analytical skills to identify problems and propose solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality products. Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus. Knowledge of security testing processes and tools is advantageous. Experience in cloud-based testing environments is desirable. Relevant certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE are a plus.
