Senior Extrusion Engineer

We are hiring a Senior Extrusion Engineer for a leading aluminium extrusion manufacturing organization known for delivering high-quality engineered solutions across automotive, construction, industrial, transportation, electrical, renewable energy, and precision engineering sectors. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced extrusion professional who is passionate about process excellence, productivity improvement, quality enhancement, die optimization, and manufacturing innovation. You will play a key role in driving operational performance while working alongside experienced production, quality, maintenance, and technical teams. Responsibilities Lead aluminium extrusion manufacturing operations to achieve production, quality, safety, and delivery targets. Optimize extrusion process parameters including billet temperature, container temperature, ram speed, pressure, and cooling profiles. Improve extrusion productivity, recovery, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, and process capability. Troubleshoot extrusion defects including surface imperfections, dimensional variation, twisting, cracking, pickup, die lines, and profile distortion. Collaborate with die design and tool room teams to improve die performance, die life, and extrusion efficiency. Analyze production data and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Support new product development, trial runs, and successful commercialization of new aluminium profiles. Monitor billet quality, alloy selection, homogenization, and process consistency. Ensure compliance with customer specifications, ISO quality standards, and internal manufacturing procedures. Drive root cause analysis, CAPA implementation, and preventive process improvements. Coordinate with maintenance teams to maximize press availability and minimize downtime. Mentor production engineers, supervisors, and operators to strengthen technical capability.
